A classic cream‑to‑buff limestone with gentle tints of ochre and yellow, this material offers a warm, timeless aesthetic rooted in traditional masonry. Naturally hard and durable, it has long been favoured for building and walling applications where strength and longevity are essential. The tumbling process softens its edges and surface, giving each piece a subtly weathered, time‑worn character that enhances its authenticity. In a rubble‑build format, the stone is supplied in irregular shapes and random sizes, creating a relaxed, organic composition that feels both rustic and refined. Mortar colour further shapes the final appearance—lighter tones blend seamlessly for a soft, harmonious look, while mid‑tone or darker mortars introduce contrast and emphasise the individuality of each stone. Our natural Rubble Stone Cladding Slips are slim individual pieces of stone which has been cut from full thickness facing stone, the stone gets cut to a thickness of 15-30mm, giving the appearance of traditional stone walling when laid.
