Jorvik Buff is a fine‑grained British sandstone known for its density and durability, making it significantly less porous than many comparable sandstones. This reduced porosity means it is far less prone to water absorption and the frost damage that can affect softer stones. Its colour palette is rich and warm, ranging from deep honey through wheat and sand tones, creating a classic, heritage‑led aesthetic. When paired with a light‑coloured mortar, the stone’s natural variation is subtly enhanced, delivering the soft, traditional appearance characteristic of historic British stone buildings while maintaining the performance expected in modern construction.
